GSEI houses several projects, each geared at addressing a challenging social issue thorugh collaborative, cross-sector action. 

  • Rural Opportunity Initiative (ROI)

    The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and The Global Social Enterprise Initiative at GeorgetownUniversity’s McDonough School of Business are working to foster, study, and promote rural economic development through partnerships between the public and private sectors. This effort—the Rural Opportunity Initiative— housed at the McDonough School of Business will grow to include a larger network of academic and land grant institutions all of whom understand the value of rural America and see opportunities to invest in its people, businesses, and infrastructure.

  • Aging Well Hub (AWH)

    The AgingWell Hub (AWH) is a unique new collaborative research and development initiative aimed at delivering innovative connected solutions and services for aging well across the continuum of care. The initiative will identify new technologies, products, and services, as well as provide thought leadership in collaboration with older adults, caregivers, healthcare systems, payers, policy makers, corporate innovators, entrepreneurs, academia and non-profits.

  • Sustainable Ocean's Alliance (SOA)

    The Sustainable Oceans Alliance is a student-led organization that empowers Millennials to become leaders in preserving the health and sustainability of our oceans. With education, resources and collaborative opportunities, we aim to inspire Millennials to create measurable impact by incentivizing social and environmental investments and fostering cross-sector partnerships.
